In addition to high quality outpatient imaging, OMI is involved with a number of research projects through it's PET-CT Centre.

New lexicon and criteria for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease

In association with Professor Harvey Turner, OMI is also involved with research into GISTs, trying to identify which patients are more likely to have chemotherapy sensitive tumours.

Having the ability to perform cardiac PET-CT scans means that OMI is able to help diagnose hibernating myocardium in patients with coronary artery disease.
